Our plan for Insight 2020 in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic
We at Selman-Holman, along with everyone working in home health and hospice care, are concerned about the evolving COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to monitor the situation day by day, and we’re aware of the guidance issued by the CDC and White House Task Force regarding large group gatherings.
Because things continue to evolve so quickly, we feel it’s premature at this time to cancel or postpone Insight 2020, which is planned for Aug. 16-19 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Our first priority is of course the health and safety of our attendees and staff. We will continue to monitor the situation and work with our host hotel and local authorities in Nashville. We’ll also explore all options for Insight 2020, including hosting it as scheduled in Nashville, postponing it to a later date, or offering it as a live virtual event.
We know it’s difficult to make plans right now as you juggle the priorities of your job, your family and your personal health. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to plan ahead for Insight 2020, so we’re making it risk-free to register.
We’re extending Insight 2020 early-bird registration rates through May 31. We’re also waiving all cancellation fees through June 30.
Though it’s impossible to predict what might happen over the next few weeks and months, we’re hopeful that our industry and jobs will soon feel a little more normal. We’re all in this together and we hope we can see each other again face to face very soon. In the meantime, we at Selman-Holman will continue to look for ways to help through education and consulting and resources.
As you think ahead to Insight 2020, please be sure to check our website and Facebook page for the latest information. As always, if we can answer any questions or help in any way, please reach out.
