“Established by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) in 1967, National Skilled Nursing Care Week® (NSNCW) recognizes the essential role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for America’s frail, elderly, and disabled. The week starts each year on Mother’s Day and is celebrated through the following Saturday.”

I love spring for many reasons – the weather improves (no more snow, fingers crossed), digging in my garden, planting flowers, Mother’s Day, etc.  Spring brings rejuvenation and new growth.

May sees recognition for nurses and LTC facilities as well.  The past 15 months have been tough ones for all of us.  Nurses and SNF/LTC facilities deserve many thanks for hunkering down and protecting the individuals that live and work within their walls.  Your labor of love and dedication continues each and every day and we greatly appreciate you!

The Briggs family – Briggs Healthcare, SimpleLTC, SimplePBJ and Selman-Holman – thank you for all that you do.  We wish you good health, safety, hope and a chance to rest and regroup.  You’re our heroes!
