The goal of this training program is to consolidate the application of concepts necessary to establish the coder as competent prior to testing for the Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis certification exam. This training program provides an excellent review of concepts included in the exam. At the conclusion of this training, you will be able to:

  • Explain conventions and guidelines in ICD-10-CM coding.
  • Apply guidelines to home care scenarios.
  • Identify correct actions to comply with legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Identify appropriate actions in order to collaborate with clinical staff and physicians.
  • Explain the diagnosis OASIS data items

This course includes 4 lessons. Each lesson will include a handout, instructional videos and post quizzes. Once all lessons are completed, there will be a final exam to test your knowledge. At the end of the course, complete the evaluation to download your certificate.
