This program introduces the development and uses of Star ratings, how they are calculated, and the importance of accurate OASIS assessment and responses. Each module offers focused improvement strategies for the eight outcome, process and utilization measures used in calculating your Quality of Patient Care Star rating and provides guidance on OASIS items and best practices to improve performance. The final module identifies strategies to improve your HH-CAHPS scores and the Patient Survey Star rating. 

This course includes 8 lessons. Each lesson will include a handout, instructional video and post quiz. Once all lessons are completed, there will be a final exam to test your knowledge. At the end of the course, complete the evaluation to download your certificate.

  • Bathing (40 minutes)
  • Bed transferring & Ambulation/Locomotion (55 minutes)
  • Management of Oral medications (80 minutes)
  • Reducing Acute Care Hospitalizations (70 minutes)
  • Patient Survey Star Ratings (55 minutes)
  • Final Exam (60 questions)
